Possessing more than 20 years experience in Chicago’s commodities markets, Russ Motyka brings deep and varied experience to Rand's Private Client Group, where he has served as one of the group’s original account executives since 1993.

Russ learned the business inside out by working on the trading floors of both the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Starting his career as a phone clerk, Russ worked in every aspect of trade execution, gaining unparalleled knowledge of market fundamentals before moving to the retail side of the business.

Throughout his an ever-expanding career, Russ has developed a focused expertise in technical trading. Having mastered many of the tools of technical trading and market analysis, Russ provides clients world-class market information, constantly striving to connect clients with relevant information and the best tools for utilizing that information.

Russ and Craig Dubbs work as a team to provide clients with a unique perspective in agricultural and financial markets–a perspective borne of extensive market experience and success. Because the members of Rand’s Private Client Group work closely together, clients receive a level of service that is consistent and thorough, as well as personal.

Russ holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
